ADRIAN GANS

Baritone Adrian Gans is rapidly establishing himself as an important young artist in the world today. Mr. Gans made his New York City Opera debut in the Fall of 2006 as Escamillo in Bizet’s Carmen, and was followed by his European Debut as Tonio in I Pagliacci at The National Opera of Lorraine, Nancy in the spring of 2007. In 2006 Gans made his debut with the Palm Beach Opera as Amonasro in Verdi’s Aida. During the 2007/2008 season Adrian Gans sung the role of Escamillo for Toledo Opera, and made his debut at Staatsoper Stuttgart in the same role. Adrian Gans completed his musical studies at the Manhattan School of Music. A recipient of awards and career grants from several international competitions such as the Operalia World Competition, the Oratorio Society of New York, the George London Foundation, the Richard / Sara S. Tucker Foundation and the Heinz Rehfuss Competition, Gans began his professional career at the Chautauqua Opera. His performance repertoire includes Ford in Verdi’s Falstaff, Germont in La Traviata, the title role in Mozart’s Don Giovanni, Escamillo in Carmen, Marcello in Puccini’s La Boheme, Scarpia in Tosca and Tonio in I Pagliacci.
