Tao Qi: Bass-Baritone
TAO QI

Bass-baritone Tao Qi was born in Shan Dong, China where he studied voice and piano at the Shan Dong Conservatory. His melifluous bass-baritone has won many prizes including First Prize in the Shan Dong vocal competition and Second Prize in the Chinese National voice competition. In New York he has studied with Thomas Cultice at Brooklyn Music College and Mance Singing School. He made his debut in the Donnel Library Concert Series as Ramfis in excerpts from Verdi's Aida and he has also sung the role of Talpa in Puccini's Il Tabarro.
